Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Supervise and lead a crew/multiple crews the majority of the time. This is your primary job.
  • Run heavy equipment a small portion of the time. This will mostly consist of training employees under you.
  • Perform potential job take-offs as needed. This involves doing site tours and helping with estimates.
  • Meet and collaborate with inspectors/owners/subcontractors.
We are looking for an individual who can provide leadership for our team, and direction for the company. While we do not require a formal education, we do require a thorough knowledge of heavy civil construction. If you posses the following, please apply:

  • A minimum of 5 years experience in Heavy Civil or dirt work
  • Knowledgeable in all areas of heavy civil construction and excavation, to include (but not limited to) road building, retaining walls, underground utilities, site preparation, and demolitions
  • Knowledge on materials pricing and estimating is desired, but not required
  • The ability to train others in all aspects of dirt work
  • Reliable
  • CDL A is not required, but is desired
  • Capable of getting in and out of heavy equipment
  • Capable of walking in rough terrain
  • Have a good work ethic
  • Willingness to learn and take required training provided by BP Dirt Works such as HAZWOPER, Traffic Control Supervisor, Confined Space, and others
